POSTWORK: - stiched panorama. - croped. - converted in black and white and blended. - corection of contrast. - used b&w gradual filter in ps. - blended with high pass photo.
I really enjoy this image visually and although I am not a fan of the particular symbolism I can respect the way it was done.
The stitched panoramic increases it's size. The perspective is slightly distorted giving the building more stature. This could be perceived as that church having much influence or it playing a large part in an individuals life. Assuming that the photographer is always present in their pictures...
And the sky. Looks almost more altered than the building. It doesn't distract if anything it gives the building more of a presence and it works quite well. The darkness gives me more of an ominous feeling, a malicious power per say.
The two combined almost make me want to fear this large overbearing building, how over beautiful and pristine it might be. Almost like conquering temptation, an amazing thought but with repercussions.
